It's a refurb tomtom ONE 130 for 49.99 after rebate.. brand new it goes for 149.99...
I have to buy a wall charger for it though.. since I'd like that option as well as car charging.. otherwise it seems "fun" but i've yet to turn it on since cj's not home and I can't plug it into the truck (that's also in the shop) so we'll see if the loaner car's lighter works so we can plug it in and start it up :).. if not when the trucks back later this week we'll do it then :)

No. That is definitely not normal. At least as far as I know, although most of my GPS days have been in sunny LA. But it works fine here, despite giving me poor directions. Mark's G1 has a GPS in it and he doesn't have any issues with cloud cover. I would call them.
I did an upgrade and it works just fine :)
I also don't need the wall charger since my cell charger fits and works just fine with the GPS.
